Make Offer to Owner/Buy Now from Owner
Our Auction Results Archives are not only the best resource for market research, but now you have the opportunity to acquire very rare items that may not be auctioned again for some time by making an anonymous offer that will make the owner sell. Items labeled "Buy Now" indicate that the owner has set a price that would make them sell.
Please note that the winner of this Heritage auction lot may or may not still own this item and may or may not be willing to sell. This service is free to the buyer, protects the identity of both parties, and allows offers and counter-offers. You will receive a response within 72 hours.

Search Tips
What is Guided Navigation?
Guided navigation is the ability to add and remove keywords and categorizations of items to filter your results. As you add these filters, they appear in the breadcrumb trail above the search results. You can remove any filter from the breadcrumb trail at any time.
How do I narrow my search?
You can add a filter in the left column, such as "Region", "Country", "Category", "Condition", "Format" "Grade", and so on. Each time you make such a selection, the listing of results will become smaller, showing only those items that meet all the criteria you have selected. You can also enter one or more keywords, such as "Large Die Proof", if that will help your search. Sometimes a new selection will open up new sub-selection possibilities; for instance, once you choose to look for a stamp graded between Fine and Very Fine, you can then narrow your search to a single grade.
How do I expand my search?
You can add or drop fields or keywords from your results at any time. Above the listing of results is a complete list of the filters you have selected. Click on any filter to remove it, and the page will refresh to show all items matching the new broader specifications.
I don't see the category (filter) I am looking for in the Guided Navigation?
The guided navigation section only lists things that contain results. For example, if you are looking at all items in the condition "Mint - Never Hinged", then the category filter will only include categories with items in that condition. To expand your list of categories, remove the condition filter from your breadcrumb trail by clicking on it.

Using "quotes" around your search phrase can help narrow the results to exactly what you are interested in. A search for Large Die Proof without quotes will return all results that contain both "large", "die" and "proof", in any order. A search for "Large Die Proof" in quotes returns all results with the exact phrase Large Die Proof, in that order.
Changing Keywords
Guided navigation allows for one search phrase filter. If you add a search phrase to filter your results, that phrase will appear in the breadcrumb trail (clicking on that removes the keywords from your results filter), and they are displayed in the "Narrow Your Results More by keyword" field. Whatever you put in that field will become your new keyword filter when you hit the "go" button. For example, if you had searched on "blue" and you want to add "paper", you would put "blue paper" in that field and hit "go". Putting just "paper" in that field will change your keyword from "blue" to "paper".
Think of the one search word that best describes the item you are looking for and use that.
Maybe it's an issue (like Washington-Franklin), or even a date and issue (1917-19 Washington-Franklin). If you're looking for an item from an issue with a long title, enter the one or two words that are most unique. For instance, a search for "Hinged" will find something with a condition of "Mint - Hinged" or "Mint - Previously Hinged", but it will also find something with a condition of "Mint - Never Hinged". To find something "Mint - Never Hinged", searching for "Never Hinged" should be a good start. Once you have an initial set of results, narrow your searches using whatever criteria best fits what you want to see.
When using more than one search word, try using "OR" and "NOT".
When you use multiple search words, the search results are trying to find items with ALL of those words in the description. Try using "OR" and "NOT". If you're interested in all Special Printing issues or relating to from 1875, you can enter "Special OR 1875". Or, if you are interested in items relating to 1875 but not to Special Printings, you could enter "1875 NOT Special".
Avoid punctuation marks unless required.
Don't use commas, periods, dashes, etc., unless required - such as in proper name (Washington-Franklin).
